The American Baseball Coaches and Rawlings Sporting Goods have announced the 2026 National Pitchers of the Year. The ABCA/Rawlings Pitchers of the Year are selected by ABCA coaches committees from nine divisions of amateur baseball: NCAA Div. I, II & III, NAIA, NJCAA Div. I, II & III, Pacific Association Division, and high school.

Congratulations to number 23, Jeylem Sepulveda for receiving the National Pitcher of the Year for the NJCAA Division 2.

Thanks to the incredible support of our alumni, employees, and community members, the Western Oklahoma State College Centennial Legacy Project has now reached $67,343.68 toward our $100,000 goal!

As we continue celebrating Western's Centennial Year, there's still time to be part of this special project and help leave a lasting impact on future generations of Pioneers. Gifts may be made at any amount, with recognition available through our Centennial Legacy giving levels:

Celebrating 25 years of the Western Ambassadors Program in Western’s Centennial Year!

As we reflect on this milestone, we are proud of a program that began in 2001 when Larry Duffy and Alice Newman established the Western Ambassadors to help develop student leadership and public speaking skills while also actively recruiting prospective students and future Ambassadors.

In 2002–2003, the program grew into a President’s Leadership Scholarship, further strengthening its commitment to leadership development, and today continues under the support of President Chad Wiginton, offering ongoing scholarship opportunities and meaningful leadership experiences.

For 25 years, the Western Ambassadors have embodied their mission of developing student leaders and communicators while serving as the welcoming face of Western Oklahoma State College, helping connect future Pioneers to campus and community.

To celebrate this legacy, we are excited to host a Western Ambassador Reunion on June 27 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. We invite all former Ambassadors to return to campus, reconnect, and celebrate this special anniversary with us.

Reunion Details: June 27 | 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
