As our nation celebrates America’s 250th Anniversary in 2026, the Alva Fire Department is honored to celebrate a milestone of our own—50 years of serving and protecting the Alva community.

For five decades, our firefighters, volunteers and supporters have answered the call with courage, dedication and pride. Just as our country reflects on 250 years of freedom, resilience, and service, we are proud to reflect on 50 years of commitment to our neighbors and community.

To commemorate this special occasion, our Volunteer program is offering the limited edition 50th Anniversary T-shirts for $20 each.

Thank you to WCIND and Boca Grande Fire Department for hosting a very informative three day Fire Boat Operator course. Alva Fire District’s firefighters Barrett and Perez participated in collaborative training to ensure our crews are ready for maritime emergencies.💦🚤🔥
