this 20 degree stuff would have been a lot better a month ago. The thoughts of gardening and kayaking has left me for a few days. Hope everyone has a blessed day. It want be long before the dogwoods and redbuds are blooming

what a strange winter. Warm weather and great sunshine and now in the middle of march two nights of 20 degrees on the way. Every year I get antsy about planting a garden and I always want to do it before it is time. I don't know how much gardening is actually done in our area. I doubt all the new folks headed our way with the sewer line extensions will be much of gardners. If anyone needs a garden turned you can get in touch with me text me at 270-779-5212 Nothing like home grown and home canned veggies, especially tomatoes

What a crazy winter or lack thereof we have had. I saw someone kayaking yesterday which seems a bit early for my taste but the time is coming quickly when the kayaking capital of Warren county will be loaded with canoes and kayaks. Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful sunshine. We may get a blizzard in March but that will be okay since we have not really had a winter so far

when I moved here 16 years ago there were very few people that floated down Drakes creek. Now it is a super highway. We are fortunate that the park system of warren county has made this creek as accessible as it is. It is tremendous fun and I hope if you never have tried it that you will. Beautiful scenery and good safe run

Crazy warm weather for Christmas Eve. I personally am enjoying it and know that we still have some cold weather in our future. Hoping everyone has a Merry Christmas. Beautiful time in Alvaton no matter what the weather

hopefully everyone had a good Thanksgiving. The weather couldnt have been much better. Now the rain is setting in but that is okay we will work those extra pounds off somehow. Congrats to the Hilltoppers for an impressive win and now for the conference championship to be played in Bowling Green. Traffic will be crazy next weekend for sure. I am so glad I live in Alvaton with access to places to eat in Scottsville rather than having to fight traffic in BG. Earl G's and Harpers is calling my name
