🔥 Late Wednesday Night Mutual Aid Response

Late Wednesday night, Alvin Volunteer Fire Department responded to a mutual aid request for a structure fire in Liverpool.

Engine 31, Tanker 1, and Engine 21 responded to assist. Multiple agencies were also on scene working together to bring the incident under control.

We appreciate the teamwork between all departments involved and thank our members for answering the call. 🚒🔥

🚒 Morning Major Accident 8-21-26 🛑

At 5:31 a.m. Friday morning, the Alvin Volunteer Fire Department was toned out for a major rollover accident involving a fully loaded concrete truck on the north side of Alvin, in the area of Victory Lane and North Highway 35.

The driver became trapped inside the vehicle with a leg pinned. Firefighters worked carefully to free the driver from the wreckage. After a successful extrication, the driver was transferred to EMS and transported for further medical care.

Engine 11, Engine 21, Engine 31, Rescue 1, and units 506, 507, and 503 all responded to the incident.

Because the concrete truck was fully loaded, a heavy-duty wrecker was required to remove the vehicle from the scene. Please be patient while the wreckage is cleared.

We were excited to participate in the 5th Annual Back to School Bash at Newman Park! We had a great time visiting with students and showing off some cool tools from our heavy rescue apparatus.

Applicants must be between 18 and 55 years old, live within the Alvin response area, possess a valid Texas Driver’s License, and successfully complete all required testing and screenings.

🚒 Vehicle Fire on FM 1462

Saturday afternoon, the Alvin Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle fire on FM 1462. Initial reports indicated that a Cadillac Escalade was fully involved.

Engines 31 and 11 responded, and crews successfully extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.

Thank you to our firefighters for their quick response and continued service to our community. Please remember to slow down and move over when approaching emergency vehicles working along the roadway. 🔥🚒
