Alvin Community Band - Alvin College The Alvin Community Band is a community concert band sponsored by the music department at Alvin College located in Alvin, TX

The Alvin Community Band is a very active music group. Since its beginning on July 4th, 1994, this versatile group has played many major concerts. Performances have included numerous park concerts, civic events and college functions. The band rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm on the ACC Campus. Membership is free and open to adults who play concert band instruments. Experienced high school

students are allowed to play, with directors permission, based on instrumentation needs. The Alvin Community Band was founded by former ACC Band Director Jerry Perkins. Our summer season start on Thursday June 4th, We rehearse each Thursday in June from 7:00-8:30 at Alvin College. We need players that have some experience playing concert band instruments. We are looking forward to starting the summer season of the Alvin community band. Rehearsals begin Thursday, June 5th from 7:00-8:30 pm at Alvin Community College. Our summer season will end with our annual 4th of July concert and fireworks show from the city of Alvin.
