On the second Wednesday of each month at 10:00 a.m., Calverton National Cemetery holds a service for Veterans who were laid to rest without military honors at the time of interment. Please join us on June 10th in Shelter G for this month’s service, which will honor 13 Veterans who served honorably in the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Navy.

I would like to Congratulate all of our Newly initiated Auxiliary members and our Officers and County Representatives who were in attendance! We had a total of 52 members at our Ceremonies, 18 of those were initiated! A special thank you to Gina Semb Lynch for being our Chaplin for the last 28 years and to Patty Collins Sales for taking that roll over. Hi everyone, for anyone interested in the Tunnel to Towers 5k in NYC on Sunday September 27th I have put a sign up sheet on the members bar door. Please sign up so I can get a count to hopefully secure a Jitney. You do not have to be a member of the legion. I also created our team for when you go on to register, you have to click on the fundraiser team bar and find American Legion Post 419, this is towards the end of the registration process and will also help greatly when its time to pickup our bibs. You must register yourself but if anyone has any questions reach out to me. Thank you- Kelly Kiger
