Megan Anderson is excited to share that she is fundraising for SALUTE and racing as part of their team in the Chicago Marathon this October.

SALUTE is a nonprofit organization that supports injured military service members, veterans, and their families with financial assistance through times of hardship. SALUTE works one-on-one with each veteran to understand their unique circumstances and provide individualized assistance. Since 2003, they have provided more than $10 million in support for housing, groceries, utilities, educational resources, and adaptive equipment.

It's a privilege to run for something bigger than myself. If you're able to contribute, no matter the amount, I'd be incredibly grateful. Every donation goes directly toward helping veterans and their families during some of life's most difficult moments.

Update for Monday, September 7th, Labor Day, the bar will be opening at 3pm with Stephen Field . Come enjoy your 1st cocktail on the Legion for the "end of Summer salute " and please feel free to bring a snack to share as the Legion WILL NOT be providing food. Legionaires September Monthly meeting is Tuesday, September 1st at 6:30pm.

Reminders and upcoming events:

Tuesday, September 8th at 7pm is the SAL'S monthly meeting.

Wednesday, September 9th at 6:30pm is the Auxiliary monthly meeting. (This is a date change for hall availability)

Friday, September 11th, the SAL'S along with local fire departments and first responders will be holding the 9/11 25th Anniversary ceremonies at the Memorial outside of the Legion starting at 6pm. All are welcome to attend the Ceremony.
