Fall is one of the best times to plant trees, shrubs, and hardy perennials. Warm soil and cooler air encourage strong root growth while plants focus less on leaves and flowers. With less heat stress and more consistent moisture, they establish deeper roots over winter and enter spring healthier, more drought-resistant, and better prepared for the growing season ahead.

Plant now for healthier plants next spring. As the weather cools in the fall, plants no longer focus their energy in producing leaves, flowers or fruit and prepare for winter by growing deeper roots. Many mature seeds that have fallen to the ground need that cold, moist winter weather to break dormancy in the spring. Come and learn about the benefits of fall fauna and seed planting.

Throwback to when our 4th grade students visited the Library to celebrate the launch of their work in an exhibit in the Childrenโ€™s Room! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Students enjoyed refreshments and chatted with library staff about their projects, what they learned, and what they found most interesting during their research.

This is our second year hosting this wonderful exhibit, and weโ€™re so impressed by the creativity, curiosity, and incredible work these students created. Weโ€™re proud to give our community the opportunity to enjoy and celebrate their work! ๐Ÿ’š
