The village is located 10 miles west of Lancaster and 10 miles east of Circleville. Our community has approximately 800 residents and approximately 320 homes/businesses. We also have two brand new schools that service our village and the surrounding communities. Special Interests:

Reminder: As we celebrate Independence Day and America's 250th Anniversary, let's also celebrate what makes Amanda special—our community.

We hope you'll join us for our Village Litter Cleanup and Potluck Block Party on the Fourth! It's a great opportunity to help keep our village beautiful, share a meal with friends and neighbors, and celebrate our nation and the hometown we all love.

🚨 Amanda Residents: A Reminder About Fireworks

As we prepare to celebrate Independence Day and America's 250th Anniversary, many of you have likely seen the City of Lancaster's reminder regarding its fireworks regulations.

The Village of Amanda also has a longstanding ordinance in place.

Village Ordinance 3-56, passed in 1956, states that it is unlawful to discharge or set off fireworks within the Village limits. Violations are considered a misdemeanor.

Please leave the fireworks to the professionals and enjoy one of the many licensed public displays this Independence Day.

Let's celebrate our nation's 250th birthday safely while being respectful of our neighbors, veterans, pets, and first responders.
