PILC Our Mission: To encourage and support people with disabilities to exercise their choice toward independence. Call us at 806-374-1400.

PILC is a Center for Independent Living, one of 27 centers in Texas and 500 across the nation. Centers for Independent Living promote the Independent Living philosophy, which states that people with disabilities have the right to make their own choices for their lives and to live independently in their community, not in an institution. We help people with disabilities achieve their independent living goals through peer support, independent living skills development and education.

💰🎨 Counting Money Arts & Crafts at PILC! 🌀

Consumers had a great time at PILC combining money skills with creativity!

During the activity, consumers learned how to budget for craft supplies. Each consumer was given fake money and practiced deciding what supplies they could purchase while staying within their budget. 💵✂️

After putting their budgeting skills to work, consumers got creative and learned how to make a Black Hole Vortex Optical Illusion! 🌀🎨

It was a fun way to practice important independent living skills while creating something unique!
