International Overdose Awareness Day is August 31! The Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center, Lubbock VA Clinic and the Clovis VA Clinic will have tables set up in their respective lobbies from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. to bring awareness to drug overdose and prevention, as well as Narcan training.

International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) is a global campaign that brings people together to take action on overdose. IOAD is observed on August 31 each year with events taking place throughout the week in more than 40 countries.

It was a great day to hand out over 185 boxes full of food to our Veterans in Lubbock! This initiative is brought to you by our Whole Health Team in partnership with the South Plains Food Bank to help nourish our hometown heroes.

The next Mobile Food Pantry in Lubbock will be on November 19. Keep an eye out for more details!
