The remaining Flu Fair schedule for Amarillo is as follows:

Thursday 10/21/26 from 12-4pm in the Kollmar Conference Room on the second floor. **Thursday will be the final opportunity for Texas Tech to provide spouse flu vaccinations. We will also be sharing the Kollmar Conference Room on Thursday with the DAV Claims Clinic.**

Friday 10/22/26 from 8am-12pm in the Kollmar Conference Room for Veterans only.

Saturday 10/23/26 from 9am-12pm in the Primary Care Building 48 for Veterans only. **Please see previous construction map**

If a Veterans cannot make these Flu Fair dates, they can always receive a flu shot in Primary Care or Specialty Care.

The Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center will host Veteran Flu Fairs October 19-24.

Monday/Wednesday/Friday will be in the Kollmar Conference Room on the second floor from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. ***Flu vaccines for spouses will be available for Monday-Thursday provided by Texas Tech***

Tuesday and Thursday will be in the Kollmar Conference Room from 12-4 p.m.

On Saturday, the Flu Fair will be in the Primary Care Building from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

ATTENTION: Due to ongoing TxDOT construction along Amarillo Boulevard, the main campus entrance is closed while the remaining portion of the driveway is completed. All vehicles entering the medical center campus will need to ENTER THROUGH THE 9th Avenue gate. Vehicles can exit through Amarillo Blvd or the 9th Ave Gate.

On Saturday, October 24, AVAHCS is hosting a Flu Fair in Primary Care Building 48 from 9am-12pm and a Drive Thru Food Pantry from 10am-12pm. Due to the construction, please review the below map on how to enter and exit the campus for these events. Entering through the 9th Ave Gate, follow the ORANGE arrows turning left for the Food Pantry and the PURPLE arrows turning right for the Flu Fair, and both will exit through Amarillo Blvd. There will be staff directing traffic during this time.

National Prescription Drug is happening again this month! On Saturday, October 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., bring your old and unneeded medications to the Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center main lobby to safety dispose of them! Lubbock VA Clinic will be Friday, October 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the main lobby.

REMINDER

Due to ongoing TxDOT construction along Amarillo Boulevard, TxDOT is scheduled to begin repouring the Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center’s main entrance starting on Monday, Oct. 12. The work will be completed in two phases:

Phase 1: Oct. 12-18
Red: The main campus exit will be closed while this portion of the driveway is completed. All vehicles leaving the medical center campus will need to exit through the 9th Avenue gate.

Phase 2: Oct. 19-25
Blue: The main campus entrance will be closed while the remaining portion of the driveway is completed. All vehicles entering the medical center campus will need to enter through the 9th Avenue gate.

Visitors are encouraged to allow additional travel time and use caution when entering and exiting the medical center during construction. The construction schedule is approximate and may change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Our Clovis Veterans got their flu shot yesterday at the American Legion Dean Lucas Post 25 during our drive thru flu fair! Our leadership team also held a Veterans Town Hall and answered lots of great questions. We had a great time in Clovis!

The Lubbock VA Clinic will host an in-person Flu Fair this year instead of a drive thru Flu Fair. This will be held October 19-23 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the second floor conference room.

On October 22, the Lubbock Veterans Town Hall will be from 6-7 p.m. with a resource fair and flu vaccines starting at 5:30 p.m. in the clinic main lobby, 3510 4th Street, Lubbock, TX 79415.
