Randall High School hosted the 761st Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Company from Fort Sill, Oklahoma and members of the Amarillo Recruiting Station. Staff Sergeant Klinefelter, Sergeant Fear, and Sergeant Welp provided demonstrations of bomb suits and ordnance equipment for students and faculty.

Heartfelt congratulations to Tracey Morman, Amarillo ISD Director of Counseling and College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR), who was presented the Public Service Commendation Medal in recognition of her outstanding contributions, dedication, and selfless service to students and the community.

Morman was presented the medal, along with a signed certificate, plaque and a military challenge coin.

FUTURE SOLDIER ALERT

At just 17 years old, Ryker Blaze Schneider is already proving he’s got what it takes to be a 12 Bravo Combat Engineer. Coming from a family of military veterans, including his own siblings, service runs in his blood. But make no mistake, Ryker isn’t just following in their footsteps. He’s forging his own path.

Before even signing his contract, he was in the fight. Showing up to Future Soldier training on his own time, pushing himself to be better every single day. No one had to tell him to work harder. He wanted it. His parents raised him with discipline and drive, and it shows.

At 17, while most are still figuring things out, Ryker is already stepping up to do what few have the courage to do. There’s no doubt he’s going to crush Basic Training and make one hell of a Combat Engineer.

Give it up for Ryker. He’s just getting started.
