We are STILL experiencing issues processing documents with RTS in the Motor Vehicles Department, so please be aware that wait times may be slower than usual today as we wait on the State to fix their software. We thank you all for your patience!

UPDATE:

The Potter County Tax Office is CLOSED due to statewide software maintenance. We will be open again on Monday, July 20th, at 8 AM. We sincerely apologize and will update everyone as we get further information from the State.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Texas RTS processing system is down statewide until further notice. Our office will not be able to process ANY Motor Vehicle transactions until further notice from the State. We apologize for this inconvenience and will notify taxpayers as we receive updates from the State as well. Thank you!

REMINDER: The Potter County Tax Office will be closed TOMORROW, Wednesday 11th, from 8 AM-9 AM for an Employee Meeting. Regular closing hours will remain at 5 PM and we will stop accepting titles at 4:45 PM.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Our office will be closing at 4:30 pm on Friday, June 12th due to county-wide computer system maintenance. Our motor vehicle department will stop processing title transactions at 4:00 pm.

All Potter County offices including ours will be closed on Friday, June 19th and Friday, July 3rd.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The Potter County Tax Office’s Property Tax Department will be closing for staff development at 2:30 PM TODAY only, May 14th. The Motor Vehicle Department will remain open until regular hours at 5 PM, and we’ll continue regular hours tomorrow as well. Thank you for your patience!
