Uniting Parents

Uniting Parents Uniting Parents is a program of the Coalition of Health Services, Inc. Uniting Parents is a parent case management program.

This program utilizes trained parents of children and/or youth with disabilities to be parent case managers and mentors families and young adults as they research services. We help families navigate local, state, and federal programs so families can find the resources they need for their child with disabilities under the age of 21. Our nonprofit agency is the Coalition of Health Services and we re

ceive our funding through grants from the Department of State Health Services. We offer support, information, referrals, a resource handbook, networking opportunities, a Recycle Closet, camp scholarships, college scholarships, respite reimbursement program, and most of all support using a network of parents who are case managers. Our case managers are familiar with many resources that may help families find solutions, strategize, and access services including insurance coverage for children with chronic medical conditions living in Texas under the age of 21. Uniting Parents has two other offices-one in Dumas and one in Lubbock. Our service area includes the top 32 counties of the TX Panhandle. Each of the sub office parent case managers travel to designated northern and/or southern counties of the TX Panhandle and are integral community partners with families and their children to provide comprehensive case management and resources to families. Uniting Parents can be a wealth of information to families and can serve as a conduit to finding resources. Families and agencies are encouraged to call us at our toll free number 888-892-2273 for referrals, case management, recycle closet, scholarships, and respite.
