We have been busy this year. We were dispatched to a fire on Saturday night. Our probies showed up and did the work!

We at the Palisades Volunteer Fire Department want to say a huge 🗣️Thank you to HexArmor for the donation of gloves to our department! We surely needed them! Most of our gloves had holes in them and had been used over and above the life span or use expectancy. We are thankful!

We want to take a moment and welcome our new recruits! We are proud to announce that Trey Bates and Eli Bates have joined the Department! From the moment they joined, they have shown great diligence and desire to learn and train! Trey showed a true commitment and enthusiasm from the moment he reached out to ask about becoming a volunteer. He then brought his son Eli in also! We could not be more grateful for these men. Our department is made of people who love to serve others and are ready for the next alarm! 🚨

Also! Trey is the owner of Bomb City K9 Training LLC. They take extra special care of any animal in their care!

We were called into service to a structure fire this afternoon. We responded along with Randall County Fire Department and Lake Tanglewood Fire Department!

The cause of the fire is believed to be lightning. It was contained to the attic.

We want to give a huge shout out to Austin Hose for helping us take care of our Brush Truck!
 Our brush truck has been in service quite a bit the last few weeks especially with the last couple of fires.

We lost our recirculation line for our pump on the Hungate Fire!

 🚒 Palisades Volunteer Fire Department 🚒

As many of you know, the Palisades Volunteer Fire Department proudly serves our area with a department made up entirely of volunteers. Our firefighters are working hard to protect our community, neighbors, families and land.

🚨Right now, we are asking for your help in two important ways:

🔥 Please avoid any activities that could create sparks or open flames, including welding, burning, outdoor fires, fireworks, parking in tall dry grass, or anything that could accidentally start a fire. Conditions can change quickly, and one spark is all it takes.

❤️ We are also currently accepting donations to help support our volunteers and keep everyone fueled and cared for during long hours of service.

We will be at the station tonight for our regular training. We will also be doing maintenance on our engine and brush truck.
Donations can be dropped off and are greatly appreciated.
