Premier High School - Amarillo is a ResponsiveEd® charter school that offers students who are struggling to graduate or have already dropped out, a “pathway to graduation” to earn their high school diploma in a smaller, more individualized environment.

4. How do I apply/enroll? Students must complete the application process, which includes meeting with the campus director, learning how to be successful in the program, and committing to the student code of conduct.
5. When will Open Enrollment occur? The open-enrollment period began Monday, March 31, 2021, and will continue through April 17, 2021. Interested families may complete the required application for admission by utilizing any one of the following methods:

6. What are the hours?
• Morning schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Afternoon schedule: 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
7. What ages are eligible for the program? A student who on September 1, 2021, is younger than age 22 will be eligible for the day program.
8. Are uniforms required? Uniforms will not be required. However, a dress code will be in place.
9. What is the start date? In an effort to be responsive to the community and sensitive to the needs of our students, Premier High School - Amarillo will follow the school calendar of the Amarillo School District. The start date for the 2021-2022 school year is August 17.
10. Will there be a bus service? No. However, the city of Amarillo has a bus service available and stops in front of our campus on Route 7. See www.amarillo.gov for more information or call Amarillo City Transit 806-378-3095.
11. What security measures will be taken to ensure my child's safety? Visitors entering the front door will have to wait to be “buzzed” in by the receptionist. PHS of Amarillo will utilize an electronic management system that will perform a background check on every visitor that enters the building. All visitors will be required to submit IDs for the background checks. Once cleared through the management system, visitors will be required to sign the Register in the school office. They will then be given instructions, as well as a Visitor's Pass or Identification Badge, and, if necessary, provided with an escort. Visitors will be required to present their Visitor’s Pass or Identification Badge to staff members once inside the building. Upon completion of the visit, visitors will return to the office, leave a pass or badge, and enter the departure time in the Visitor's Register.
12. Will tutoring services be available if needed? Tutoring schedules will be determined as needed by the student’s teacher and the administration.
13. Is state testing still required? All Texas State mandated testing and assessments will be administered.
