This spring, Lower Gwynedd fifth graders took on a unique and meaningful challenge in music class: writing a school song! 🎵

Working in groups, students created original songs inspired by three important elements:
⭐ A melody that everyone could easily sing and enjoy
⭐ Our LEAP expectations
⭐ The core ideas of the No Place For Hate pledge

Our fifth graders approached this assignment with incredible creativity, teamwork, and pride. After reviewing the many amazing submissions, seven finalists were selected and shared with staff for voting. It was a difficult decision, but four songs truly stood out and will now become part of the LGE legacy, featured at assemblies, LEAP meetings, in classrooms, and displayed throughout our school for years to come!

🎉 Congratulations to our student songwriters:
🎤 Joshua Park and Connor Plentus — “Can’t Stop Leaping” (inspired by “Can’t Stop the Feeling”) Selected as our official LGE school song!
📣 Sam DiValentino and Gavin Kurian — LGE School Cheer. Their awesome lyrics will bring energy and school spirit to assemblies and events!
👏 Addie Lachesis and Reya Mahajan — “If You Lead By Example, Clap Your Hands”
A fun reminder of our LEAP expectations that will be used in classrooms and assemblies!
🥁 Emmett Geigert, Sam Kim, and Jacob Pilquist — “We Are LG” (inspired by “We Will Rock You”) A high-energy anthem to get everyone cheering at school events!

We are so proud of all of our fifth grade students for the creativity, dedication, and teamwork they showed throughout this project. Their songs are more than music; they are a lasting part of the LGE story!

Stony also celebrated with a special last day of elementary school lunch outside! They had their own Ms. India DJ the party.

Five of our schools successfully completed their Tiered Fidelity Inventories (TFIs), and our high school proudly wrapped up its PBIS Benchmarks of Quality (BOQ), an exciting achievement for our entire community!

➡️ What’s next?

Our high school will take the TFI next year to continue growing strong systems.
Our middle and elementary schools are building on their success, strengthening Tier I practices while expanding into Tier II supports.
Through this work, these teams have shown a powerful commitment to creating positive, proactive systems that support every student. Each recognized school will receive a Tier I PBIS Implementation Banner and be celebrated at next year’s Implementers Forum!
This recognition represents more than meeting a benchmark. It reflects the real impact staff are making every day in building engaging, supportive learning environments where all students can thrive.
