As kids head back to school, it’s time for all of us to slow down and pay extra attention on the roads.

🚨 WATCH FOR SCHOOL BUSES
🛑 Stop when a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop arm extended.

•Look carefully for children crossing the road.

•Slow down in school zones and residential areas.

•Put the distractions away and keep your eyes on the road.

•Be patient — getting a few seconds behind schedule is never worth risking a child’s life.

Slow down. Stay alert. Stop when required. Give our kids the time and space they need to get to school safely.

💙 August is National Wellness Month 💙

As first responders, we dedicate ourselves to helping others through their most difficult moments. But caring for your own mental health is just as important as caring for your patients.

Wellness isn’t just about physical fitness—it’s also about getting enough rest, managing stress, staying connected with people you trust, and knowing when to ask for help. It’s okay to take a break, talk about what you’re experiencing, and seek support when you need it.

This National Wellness Month, make yourself a priority:
💤 Get adequate sleep whenever possible.
💧 Stay hydrated and eat nourishing meals.
🏃 Move your body regularly.
🧠 Check in with your mental health.
🤝 Reach out to a coworker—you never know who may need to hear, “How are you really doing?”

Remember: Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Let’s continue taking care of our community by taking care of ourselves first. 💙

🚑 Move Right. Slow Down. Stop. It Could Save a Life. 🚑

When you see an ambulance, fire truck, or police vehicle with flashing lights and sirens, every second matters. The actions you take behind the wheel can make the difference between life and death.

Here’s what you should do:

➡️ Move to the right whenever it’s safe to do so.
🐢 Slow down and remain alert.
🛑 Stop if necessary until the emergency vehicle has safely passed.

Never slam on your brakes or stop in the middle of the road. Stay calm, use your turn signal, and give emergency responders a clear path to the emergency.

Our crew had so much fun visiting Kidz Konnect in Blue Bell for Superhero Week! We brought our ambulance so the students could see what it’s like inside and learn about the tools we use to help people when they’re sick or hurt.

The kids got to explore the ambulance, and learned that calling 911 is important when someone has a real emergency. We loved seeing all the smiling faces and excitement as they discovered how EMS helps keep our community safe 🚑

🔴 Due to the smoke from the wildfires in Canada, it’s effecting our air quality in PA, putting us in a Code Red 🔴

When air quality is poor it’s a good idea to reduce your exposure. This is especially important for children, older adults, pregnant women, and those with asthma, COPD, or heart disease.

Here are some precautions and things to look out for:

-Stay indoors as much as possible, especially during the hottest part of the day when ozone levels are often highest.

-Keep windows and doors closed if outdoor air quality is poor.

-Run your air conditioner on recirculate if possible, and use a clean HVAC filter.

-Avoid strenuous outdoor activities such as running, yard work, or heavy exercise.

-Stay well hydrated.

-Avoid adding more indoor pollution by not smoking, burning candles, using fireplaces, or frying food excessively when outdoor air is already poor.

-Monitor your symptoms. If you develop persistent coughing, wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath, dizziness, or chest pain, seek medical attention 🚑
