ARS products were used successfully at an outstanding rescue in Brooklyn! The NYPD has released bodycam footage of ESU officers rescuing an emotionally disturbed woman from a ledge high up on a building in Brooklyn. The below edited footage shows several ARS products, including officers rigging a rope system from an ARS Breakout Rope Bag and a negotiating Officer with an ARS Multi-Loop Rescue Strap at the ready. Today we wanted to call out another grant opportunity – this one is through We Energies Foundation. The Rewarding Responders Grant may be used to purchase equipment and professional development, but should be part of a well-planned and integrated public safety initiative. Projects must be special, one-time, safety-related efforts. Any equipment purchased with this grant must stay in the ownership of the department for a minimum of five years unless it is consumable or becomes expired.

The foundation will award $150,000 per year. The maximum grant amount awarded will be $2,000 per project and must be used within two years. Only one grant application per organization will be accepted. See details at the link below:
