Best Day Ever at Hope Rising Farm Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. !

Our students traded the classroom for the pasture today—and it was unforgettable! 🐮🐴

From brushing and guiding gentle horses to making friends with goats, ducks, pigs, and super fluffy Highland cows 🦬, our kids had an absolute blast exploring the farm in Amenia, NY.

But it wasn't just fun and games! Hands-on time with these incredible animals taught our students so much about kindness, responsibility, and respecting nature.

Big smiles, happy animals, and memories that will last a lifetime! Check out some of our favorite moments from the daY

Our Summer Enrichment engineers went out with a BANG (and a super tall tower)!

On their very last day in the classroom, students put their measurement and engineering skills to the test and built a massive 130-inch tower out of 3D Magnetic Building Tiles—shattering the previous class record of 124.5 inches!

Now, it’s time to celebrate an incredible 4 weeks of learning, creating, and record-breaking!

Our Summer Enrichment students took a break from the classroom to mix up some purple and green volcanic blasts using vinegar, baking soda, and food coloring.

“I would rather be here than at home. I’m with my friends doing fun stuff and learning a lot about science.”
— Nora Garcia, rising 2nd grader

From colorful lava to phone-flashlight light boxes, teacher Renee Palmer is bringing hands-on science magic to our rising 1st and 2nd graders every single day! 🔬✨

Our rising 3rd & 4th graders in Webutuck's Summer Enrichment program grabbed their passports and took off on an epic global adventure!

From discovering fancy Greek pottery and learning about Indian tuk-tuks, to sketching the Northern Lights over Viking ships in Norway, Ms. Marchese’s class explored cultures near and far—all while practicing their reading, writing, and math skills!

“It’s been a good tour... I enjoy coming here because it’s a short day. It’s been so much fun!”
— Joseph Hunter, rising 3rd/4th grader passport holder

Next stop... beaches, dinosaurs, and carnival fun!

Students from Mr. Howard’s and Mr. Butland’s Tech & Tinker Summer Enrichment class took a stroll across the street to tend, water, and care of the NEW school garden! 🌿Through our partnership with the North East Community Center, this garden is officially coming back to life.

🚑 First Responder Club Recap: Inside Look at Our Ambulance Tour!
Our First Responder Club had an unforgettable afternoon on Jun 2, exploring emergency preparedness firsthand!

A massive thank you to Dawn-Marie Klingner, Chris Klingner, Zack Klingner, and Joe Bartlett from the Fire Company for bringing their ambulance right to campus and giving our students an incredible behind-the-scenes tour.

What Our Students Learned:
Equipment Exploration: Members got a close-up look at the specialized tools carried on board and learned how EMS professionals use them during emergency calls.
Hands-On Practice: Students jumped right into interactive demonstrations using the stair chair, backboard, and stretcher.

Real-World Scenarios: A special shoutout to the EBIS students who were outside and volunteered to act as "patients," making the training hyper-realistic and engaging for everyone involved!

It was wonderful to see so much curiosity and excitement from the students all afternoon. Experiences like this show just how much learning happens outside the traditional classroom—building teamwork, confidence, and a strong sense of community!

Thank you to our incredible local first responders for investing your time in our students!

Our ENL Juniors and Seniors conquered Stissing Mountain on May 29th! Students took on the ultimate Trail Bingo challenge—hunting for everything from quartz rocks and wild hawks to iconic teacher moments (and yes, Mr. Orr definitely had to tell us to "slow down" a few times! ).
🏔️ The Climb: Students hiked up the mountain while completing bingo cards filled with environmental finds and fun cultural inside jokes.

🗼 The Summit: Everyone took turns taking in the views from the fire tower and enjoyed a group picnic.

🏆 The Prizes: Successful Bingo players scored awesome prizes before heading back down the mountain!

It was a great day of fresh air, friendly competition, and fun. Great job, team!
