There was over 4 tons/acre increase at harvest, resulting in an additional $160 per acre to the bottom line. After several customer requests to make a custom tool bar, we took the time this season to make one for testing.
The bar has been making the rounds to our growers so we can obtain feedback to make improvements and adjustments they need.
This setup is safer for many maturing row crops. Running too large of a diker can heave crops from the ground or cause root and foliage damage. Unfortunately, this occurs too often at critical developmental points with many row crops.
Additionally, this bar is improving soil aeration, cultivating weeds, increasing water pe*******on, and helping to keep water on slopes where it is needed. Another unforeseen benefit is incorporating top dressed fertilizer applications, typically applied at this time of the season for many operations.

Overall, everyone who has had a chance to run it is very happy with the performance. We are taking the other feedback and wishlist additions given to us by farmers and making changes on the fly.
The customization is almost limitless with multiple options for shields, tillage, granular applicators, or stabilizers.
