We are honored to be featured in the Uintah Basin Extension Update’s Community Partner Spotlight!

For the second year, Athenian eAcademy provided weekly summer meal boxes to children across the Uintah Basin. This program served approximately 1,000 children each week in Ballard, Fort Duchesne, and Vernal/Ouray.

A special thank you to Malynnda Hoffman for the incredible amount of work she put into making this program successful. We are so proud of our Child Nutrition team and grateful for the opportunity to serve children and families throughout our community!

Exciting things are growing in Moab! 🌱

Last year, we received a garden grant, and our plans are finally coming to life! This weekend, a water spigot will be installed in our outdoor garden space, and seeds are already sprouting in our hydroponic garden.

Our lunch manager Sam even created a compost sign and placed a bucket next to the trash. Now our students are saving their food scraps and helping create compost for the garden!

This week’s meal boxes are packed with fresh, delicious produce, and every child received their very own personal mini watermelon to enjoy.

It’s hard to believe, but we are preparing for our LAST week of Summer Meal Boxes for most of our communities!

To help us wrap up the summer, we’re excited to share one of our favorite seasonal treats:

🍉 Personal mini watermelons, sweet, refreshing, and perfect for summer days!

📍Moab families, you’re in luck, we’re not done yet! Moab will continue for one more week, with our final distribution on Wednesday, August 5.

Summer Meal Boxes are ready for pickup today! ☀️🍎

Our team is excited to serve another week of free summer meals for children 18 and under. Each box is packed with breakfasts, lunches, fresh fruits and vegetables, milk, and other nutritious foods to help keep kids fueled all week long.

This week’s fresh produce includes:
🥕 Carrots
🥔 Potatoes
🥦 Broccoli
🌶️ Red and orange peppers
🍌 Bananas
🫐 Fresh raspberries

Thank you to our amazing staff and volunteers who make this program possible each week. We appreciate our families for showing up and helping us serve children throughout our communities.
