We have been actively recruiting and this four legged friend showed up ready to work. This pup completed his morning PT and is catching a ride to the Humane Society for safe keeping. Our four legged friend will still be able to take call and reunite with its owner soon we hope. Please share and spread the word for this pawsome friendly pup. 🐶

Tuesday tidbit. While out at GSW today refreshing our familiarity of buildings in our response area we stumbled upon this great art piece. Artwork done by a student and displayed proudly. We think this is an amazing display of talent. Firefighter Fort was in the group today and posed for this great piece. Proud for the artist and as always we are proud to serve our community.

Take it way back Tuesday. The history of Americus Fire is rich with service and tradition. The photo captures our predecessors in service. We still stand to answer the call now just as we have for 133 years. We are proud to serve Americus. Since 1893 it’s been the “We” for the citizenry.

What have we been up to Wednesday? Over the past week you may have seen our crews out and about training during an Apparatus Operator Class. This class is a great prerequisite for upcoming Relief Drivers as well as future Apparatus Engineers. Training Captain Burns has painstakingly demonstrated and trained these students during class. The skill set learned during class will enhance service to our Citizens with efficiency, cost savings by preventative maintenance, and knowledge in operations. We continue to strive to be better everyday. We are proud of our ISO Class 1 designation and proudly serve our community with the best we have to offer. When we learn together we serve better.
