Good Morning Everyone! An update on the Animal Clinic on June 6th. Below are the available items for this clinic. Emporia Vet Hospital staff will be on site at our City Maintenance Shop to provide these services from 9 am to 11 am. No appointments are necessary, but be advised, there can be quite a line at times. They will take checks and cash. We will also have dog registration forms available to anyone who needs to register a dog, we also only accept check or cash.

Reminder that we will be switching trash providers next week! Trash pick up will be Friday, April 24th and then Wednesday, April 29th. You will receive your new dumpster/poly carts this week, please refrain from putting out on Friday this week.

Hello City of Americus, Kansas, USA,

As many of you are aware, we will begin our trash service contract on May 1, 2026. In preparation, you may see our team throughout the community over the coming week as we stage equipment and prepare for service.

We are pleased to confirm that both shipments of dumpsters and poly carts have been received as of April 17, 2026. Deliveries of poly carts will take place on April 22 & 23 and dumpsters on April 24 for all residents currently set up with the City of Americus for trash service.

If you are currently receiving service through us and would prefer to transition to billing through the city, please contact the city directly to make those arrangements.

If you wish to continue billing through our office, kindly reach out to us so we can ensure your account is adjusted accordingly.

Please note that these carts will 𝐍𝐎𝐓 be serviced on Friday during the current provider’s final pickup. Our first scheduled pickup will occur on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
