A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is trained community volunteer appointed by a judge to speak up for the best interests of an abused or neglected child involved in a juvenile court dependency proceeding. A CASA volunteer protects a child's right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect, and to learn and grow in the safe embrace of a loving family. Our Purpose:

The Mission of Southwest Georgia Court Appointed Special Advocates (SOWEGA CASA) is to recruit, screen, train and supervise volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children throughout Southwest Georgia.
