Moving soon (or just moved into Windsor Pointe)? We know how much stuff comes with a fresh start — boxes, bubble wrap, and a million little details.
To make it easier, we put together 10 quick moving tips to help your move go smoother and keep the stress down:
1️⃣ Start early & declutter – Donate, sell, or toss what you don’t love or use. No sense paying to move it.
2️⃣ Label by room, not just “misc.” – Write the room + a few key items on each box (ex: “Kitchen – pans, utensils”).
3️⃣ Pack a “Day 1” box – Toiletries, meds, phone chargers, change of clothes, basic tools, trash bags, and snacks.
4️⃣ Protect the breakables – Use towels, blankets, and clothes to wrap dishes and fragile decor.
5️⃣ Take photos before unplugging – Snap pics of TV, WiFi, and gaming setups so you can reconnect everything easily.
6️⃣ Keep important docs with you – IDs, lease paperwork, pet records, and anything you can’t afford to lose.
7️⃣ Clean as you unpack – Wipe shelves and counters before putting things away so you don’t have to double back.
8️⃣ Set up your bed first – After move-in day, nothing feels better than having your bed ready to crash into.
9️⃣ Meet your new neighbors – A friendly hello can turn new surroundings into a community a lot faster.
🔟 Do a safety & comfort check – Test smoke detectors, learn where breakers are, and find your go-to light switches.
