Create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece with your family this summer!
🖌️ Start your artwork and then pass it to a family member—Mom, Dad, a sibling, grandparent, or anyone at home. Each person adds something to the artwork before passing it along to the next person. Keep the creativity going until your masterpiece is complete!

📸 When you're finished, take a picture of your artwork and submit it for a chance to be featured!

How to Participate:

2️⃣ Make sure your artwork is school-appropriate.

📚🎉 Field Day Fun on the Last Day of School!📚🎉
What a fantastic way to celebrate an amazing school year! Our students worked hard all year to grow their academic skills, and their efforts paid off in a BIG way. Through their dedication and learning, students earned water balloons for one of their favorite Field Day activities—throwing them at their teachers!💦😂
The laughter, excitement, and friendly competition made for unforgettable memories as students celebrated their accomplishments and the end of another successful school year.
We are so proud of all the growth, perseverance, and hard work our students demonstrated this year. Thank you to our staff, families, and volunteers for helping make this day so special.

🎶🧦 Our school-wide Sock Hop was a glowing success! Hosted by our amazing 5th graders, the afternoon was filled with music, dancing, glow sticks, temporary tattoos, and nonstop fun. 💃✨

The Juicy Wiggle was definitely the crowd favorite, and the dance train kept growing all afternoon long! 🚂🎵 Thank you to our 5th grade hosts for making it such a memorable evening for everyone! ❤️

All Ames Community School District buildings will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day.
We honor and remember those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

Schools and the district office will reopen on Tuesday, May 26, and classes will resume for students.

School News May 19th Edition!
Join student anchors Sloane and Calvin for the final news broadcast of the school year. This jam-packed episode covers essential end-of-year reminders, including the final week of Mileage Club, behavior expectations ahead of next week's Field Day, and details on the upcoming student Sock Hop hosted by the 5th grade.
The episode also highlights 5th-grade field trips to ISU and Daley Park, features a special "Joke of the Day" with Mr. Riedeman, and includes exclusive interviews with Miss G. and Mr. Randolph. Let’s work together to keep drop-off, pick-up, and dismissal safe and running smoothly! 🚗✨

Parking Lot Reminder
If you need to get out of your vehicle, please park in a designated spot rather than stopping in the traffic lane. This helps keep traffic moving safely. Staff will be outside to help direct cars during busy times.

Transportation Changes
If your child’s end-of-day plans change, please call the office by 2:15pm. Students cannot be called from class after 2:30pm.
