The Pollinators of Slovenia
An interactive documentary
by Studio Airport
In this five-part Emergence Magazine production, created by Studio Airport, we discover how Slovenians are finding new ways to nurture pollinators in the age of ecological breakdown. We visit family farms that are implementing sustainable practices, meet a forager who shares his bed with bees, learn about urban beekeeping from a rooftop beekeeper, and discover how bees breathe life into farm-to-table cuisine.

In this five-part interactive documentary, we travel deep into Slovenia’s landscape to learn how beekeepers and farmers are nurturing ancient threads of relationship with pollinators in the face of climate change and habitat loss.

Methane is more than 25 times as potent as carbon dioxide at trapping heat in the atmosphere. Over the last two centuries, methane concentrations in the atmosphere have more than doubled, largely due to human-related activities. Because methane is both a powerful greenhouse gas and short-lived compared to carbon dioxide, achieving significant reductions would have a rapid and significant effect on atmospheric warming potential.

This report is a product of the Global Methane Assessment (GMA) that details projections of anthropogenic methane emissions through 2030 under various baseline scenarios and assesses the climate benefits of achieving the Global Methane Pledge target compared to the impacts of those baseline emiss...
