SURPRISEEEE!!! 🎉

WE are all counting down to SUMMER!! ☀️

So... with only FIVE Days of school left... Students were surprised this afternoon... tomorrow will be DISNEY TOURIST DAY (with 2 additional surprises).

We cant wait to see all of our tourist tomorrow!! 😎

Wildcat families, yearbooks are in! 📘🐾

Yearbooks will be distributed on June 2 to students who pre-purchased one.

We do have a limited number of extra yearbooks available on a first come, first served basis. Yearbooks are $35.00 cash or check.

Mrs. Maddox will also have yearbooks available for purchase during the award ceremonies tomorrow.

Calling all future heroes! 🚨

The Amherst County Sheriff’s Office is gearing up for an action-packed First Responder Camp this summer for rising 4th–11th graders! Campers will step behind the caution tape and experience hands-on activities like fingerprint lifting, fire safety, defensive tactics, DUI goggles courses, field trips, and more. 🚓

📅 July 20–24 (Rising 7–11 graders)
📅 July 27–31 (Rising 4–6 graders)
⏰ Monday–Friday | 9 AM–3 PM
📍 Amherst County Sheriff’s Office

💲 Camp fee is just $30 and includes all activities, field trips, lunches, and snacks!

Applications are available at all schools and the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office. Space is limited, so sign up today!

🚨 IMPORTANT REMINDER 🚨

CES Wildcat families, please remember that all student medications ( prescription, over the counter, inhalers, and epi pens) must be picked up from the clinic by the last day of school. Any medications left after the final school day will be properly destroyed according to school policy.

Please make arrangements to pick up your child’s medication by June 4, 2026💙🐾💛

🎒 Rising Kindergarten Families - Don’t Forget School Vaccinations!
If your child is starting Kindergarten this fall, Virginia requires several vaccinations before the first day of school on August 12, 2026.

Required vaccines include:
💉 DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis)
💉 Polio
💉 Hepatitis A
💉 Hepatitis B
💉 MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
💉 Varicella (Chickenpox)

These routine vaccines help keep children healthy, in school, and ready to learn.

✔ Schedule a checkup early with your healthcare provider
✔ Ask about required school vaccines
✔ Bring a copy of the vaccination record to your child’s school

Families without insurance may qualify for free vaccines through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.
