In-person tax collection may also be completed at the International Bank of Amherst for full year, first half, or second half taxes.

Second half tax payments (mail or in-person) can be made at the Portage County Treasurer's Office, 1516 Church Street, Stevens Point, WI 54481.

Please pay your dog licenses when you pay your taxes. You must register your dog(s) every year; let's try to get 100 percent of the dogs in the Town of Lanark registered!

Please send a self-addressed stamped envelope to receive your receipt and/or dog license.

Thursday, December 21 - 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Saturday, December 30 - 8:00 am to 2:00 pm

Saturday, January 27 - 8:00 am to 2:00 pm

Dog license fees: Spayed/neutered $12, NOT Spayed/neutered $22.00. Late fees are $5 and the fines for an unlicensed dog can be $169-$263.50!

TOWN OF LANARK EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

The Town of Lanark is accepting applications for Full Time Hourly Road Employee to replace Bob Dahms, who has announced his intent to retire on October 31, 2023.

Completed applications must be RECEIVED by Noon on Friday, September 1, 2023. The Town Board will select finalists, conduct interviews and hopefully select Bob’s replacement by Friday, September 15, 2023. The intended starting date is Monday, October 2, 2023.

NOTE: Candidates must live within a 15 minute response time to the Lanark Town Garage at 7174 County Road TT, Amherst, WI 54406.

Absentee voting in the Town of Lanark

Absentee voting for the November 8, 2022 General Election has begun. You may request a ballot by mail now through Thursday, November 3 by submitting your request in writing to the clerk (mail, email, or through myvote.wi.gov). In-person absentee voting begins October 25, 2022 and is by appointment; please contact the clerk (clerk.tn.lanark.wi.gov or 715/256-9801) to make an appointment.

On Monday, October 31 there will be a no-appointment necessary opportunity to register and/or absentee vote from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. Please be sure to bring the proper photo ID to vote and proper proof of residency to register.
