Learning doesn't always happen sitting at a desk! 🔤🎶
Sometimes our kindergarten students need a brain break that gets them up, moving and learning! Here the Kindergarteners in Ms. Fitzgerald's class are following along with an alphabet song, practicing their letters while using their bodies to make the shape of each letter.

A little movement, a lot of fun - and plenty of learning along the way! 💙

🟢 THE DROP IS LIVE! 🟢
Week 1 of the ACPS Rise & Shine Attendance Challenge has officially begun! From now until September 18, every day your student is in class helps push their grade level closer to the top of the leaderboard.

Remember: A single absence can shift the whole competition. Every Day Counts, Every Drop Wins! Let’s see that school pride.

A school transformed. A future taking shape. 🏗️📚
The renovation and expansion of Amherst County High School has created incredible new opportunities for our students — from expanded Career and Technical Education spaces to new facilities for the arts, academics, collaboration, and community events.

We’re grateful to Jamerson-Lewis Construction and all of the partners who helped make this project possible. We’re excited to see our students continue to make the most of these spaces for years to come!

First night under the lights! 🏈
If you are planning to attend the ACHS football game tonight, here are some reminders. We hope to see you there! 🥁

Lancer Families: Please see below for details regarding tonight's home football game vs. Sherando High School!

1. Game time is 7:00 pm.

2. For parking, please enter Lancer Lane and park in the lower stadium lot (Junior lot). We will have people at the game directing traffic as that lot fills up.

3. For parking passes, please go to the upper stadium lot (Senior Lot). If you have a Senior Lot parking pass, you MUST park in your reserved parking spot as identified on your parking pass.

4. ADA parking is available in the Senior Lot as well.

5. All middle school and elementary school students must be accompanied by an adult. Please do not drop these students at the gate and return to pick them up later. They need to have an adult at the game. ALL high school students are expected to have rides available at the conclusion of the game.

6. ACHS has a Clear Bag Policy: Only clear bags will be allowed into athletic events. If you bring a bag to the gate, you will be asked to return it to your car.

7. ACHS Administration reserves the right to remove any spectator who is creating an unsafe environment or who is being disrespectful to other fans, players, coaches, or school staff. We encourage our fans to be loud and cheer for the Lancers, but do so in a respectful manner.

8. ACHS is a substance-free school. There should be no alcohol, to***co, ni****ne, or any drug use on our campus, including the parking lots and at the football stadium.

We hope to see everyone at Lancer Stadium tonight!

Far out! We've taken a groovy trip back to 1973.

Bell bottoms were in style, classic rock filled the airwaves, and students were making memories that have stood the test of time. These snapshots are proof that school pride never goes out of style.

Pocket Rocket Experiment🚀
3rd graders at TES are learning about different types of forces including pushes and pulls. They modeled push and gravity with these creative pocket rockets! We love seeing our young scientists at work. 💙

We are launching a 3-week Rise & Shine Attendance competition starting next week! Every single grade level is going head-to-head to see who can claim the highest attendance rate. 📈

The reward? The winning grade gets to play The Attendance Board - a giant peg-drop game where students will drop the puck to win some incredible prizes! 🎁✨

Success isn't luck; it's a chain reaction. When you show up every day, you set yourself up to win. Parents, help your students get ready to bring their best attendance habits!
