Black Lives Matter Book of the Week:
"All the Noise At Once" written by DeAndra Davis ( DeAndra Davis )

In honor of Disability Pride Month, All the Noise at Once by DeAndra Davis is a powerful novel that celebrates neurodiversity while exploring race, family, and justice. The story follows a Black autistic teen balancing the pressures of high school, football, friendships, and family after his older brother is wrongly charged with felony assault during an encounter with police. As he finds his place on the football team without his older brother by his side, he learns what being part of a team really means. At the heart of the novel is the evolving relationship between the two brothers as they navigate trauma, healing, and a growing understanding of one another. Davis explores the intersection of disability, systemic racism, resilience, and belonging. All the Noise at Once won the 2026 William C. Morris Award for the best debut book published by a first-time author writing for teens. It is also one of this year's nominees for the Massachusetts Teen Choice Book Award.

"A stellar debut about ignorance and privilege and the abuse of it that resonates beyond the final page." -- School Library Journal, starred review
