Tonight we practiced our search skills alongside Eggertsville Hose Company

'Vent-Enter-Search (VES) / Vent-Enter-Isolate-Search (VEIS), is a high-risk, high-reward search tactic used by firefighters to quickly rescue trapped occupants. It involves entering a building through a window—usually directly into a bedroom—immediately isolating that room by closing the door, and conducting a rapid search'

Performing these evolutions with our neighboring fire departments affords us the opportunity to train, to learn and to improve our skill-sets, so we can work together seemlessly at future calls/fires

A huge thank you goes out to 2060 Auto Parts, for allow us to come out and work on our auto extrication skills at their facility last night. These type of opportunities are invaluable to us with helping us to improve our skills for extricating patients during motor vehicle accidents.
