We interrupt your regular scheduled Pat Lorge Memorial Burgers, Brats, and Beers for a weather announcement for the area. Please be careful if you see storm clouds rolling in. Bet there will be plenty of drinks and food at the Fire Hall to wait out the storm if it happens. Now back to your regular scheduled programming.

Come out and enjoy the food and the fellowship.

This year, a special addition was made in memory of a man who brought people together with good food and great company — Pat Lorge. Pat kicked off the tradition of Burgers, Brats, and Beer during the Sturgis Bike Rally — a simple idea that quickly became a well-loved part of Rally Week.

To honor Pat’s legacy, Denny Walser handcrafted a memorial bench — built from the tailgate of one of Pat’s own pickups. With that, the event is now officially named the Pat Lorge Memorial Burgers, Brats, and Beer, and it continues in the same spirit Pat started.

Here’s to you, Pat. Your memory lives on in every brat grilled and every cold one cracked.

I know weather has been coming on and off the past week or so, but they sure seem to want us to be watching this system that is moving in from Montana. So please keep an eye out for changing weather and be prepared for it.

Just a heads up for the area. Please be careful out there and keep an eye on the sky. Now back to our regular scheduled programming.

⚠️ Severe T-Storm Threat UPGRADE ⛈️ ENHANCED risk (level 3 out of 5) now in southwest ND and SE Montana for Sunday afternoon through the night.
DISCUSSION: Clusters of t-storms are forecast to develop over the higher terrain of central Montana throughout the day. Data suggests initial cells this afternoon over central into southeast Montana will pose a risk for large hail (up to 2+ inch diameter) in addition to strong wind gusts. This evening, clustering is expected and t-storms may form into a line with damaging wind gusts, some potentially up to 80 mph. The east/southeast extent of the greater severe wind potential is a bit uncertain, however, as decreasing instability should limit the eastward progression into the eastern Dakotas overnight.
