Election Day is one week away: Saturday, June 27.

Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. On the ballot: the renewal of the 4-mill health unit property tax that funds public health services across all of Tangipahoa Parish.

This is not a new tax. It's the continuation of services this parish has depended on for years.

TRACC, Tangipahoa Reshaping Attitudes for Community Change, is a parish-wide substance abuse prevention program funded through the health unit millage.

Through TRACC, the parish works to reduce substance abuse and build community resilience across every neighborhood in Tangipahoa Parish.

That work is on the June 27 ballot. Early voting ends today!
