Yes For Amity Fire Levy 36-204 Amity Fire PAC. Supporting a 5 year Operating Levy to improve the Amity Fire District and the Volunteers who provide the service to our great community.

This is Amity Fire PAC (Political Action Committee). Welcome to our page, here you will find info about our 5 yr Levy that we are going to the voters for in May. We are asking for .45 cents/Thousand per year. That's about $68/yr for a $150K home. That's $5.70 a month to help support your Amity Fire District with emergency Fire, EMS and Disaster response.

Amity Fire PAC would like to thank our awesome caring community for supporting us in our Levy Renewal. We passed our Levy for another 5 years with 70% approval. We are extremely thankful and greatful that you put your trust in us to be your emergency responders and emergency managers and that you put your trust in us to be good stewards of our money. This Levy has enabled us to be able to meet national standards that we are liable for and to take care of our community and our Volunteers who actually do the work for us and you! The original Levy expires June 30th, 2021, so this renewal will continue that Levy for another 5 yrs "starting" July 1st of 2021. This will help stablize our finances for the next several years as we look to what the future holds for our district. THANK YOU!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the district and if they can't answer your questions or if you would like more information directly, they can get you in contact with myself, the lead for the Amity Fire PAC.

Pictures of the Historic Meeker House the day that it burned almost 2 yrs ago. You can see the significant damage and the amount of the house that was involved with fire. Due to a quick response and a great attack on the fire, Jon and Janel Denton were able to restore the house and rebuild the garage to almost original condition. Please join them in Yes For Amity Fire Levy 36-178. Amity Fire was there for them when they needed it the most. Let's be there for Amity Fire when they need us. Vote Yes on Levy 36-178.

Thanks to Amity Fire District and mutual aid companies for getting a great "Stop" on this fire and allowing Jon and Janel Denton to rebuild their home!

Part of the Funds from this Levy will help purchase Wildland Firefighting Clothing, Helmets and Boots which are different from the Structural Firefighting "Turnouts" that they use to enter into and fight fires in Structures. Also Fire Shelters are life saving shields that are used in Wildand situations that become life threatening. It's a shelter that they are "mandated" to wear on conflagrations that they could deploy and crawl into, to save their life if needed.
As you can imagine these are very expensive, around $400 each.
Wildland fires threaten us here at home as well as across the state. We send crews local and statewide to fight these fires, protect our citizens and there properties. If the Governor declares a conflagration, we could be sent anywhere in the State of Oregon. It is important to have dependable reliable equipment. You don't want to be in this type of situation and find out that something doesn't work, or have a failure under this kind of threat or pressure. The consequences could be devastating. Please help support Levy 36-178.
