Britax has issued a recall for certain B-Safe 35, B-Safe Ultra, B-Safe Gen 2, B-Safe Gen 2 Flexfit, B-Safe Gen 2 Flexfit Plus, and Endeavours car seats. A screw in the carry handle can come loose, posing a fall risk to children. Owners may contact Britax customer service for a remedy 1-888-427-4829.

September is Su***de Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and remind our community that help and hope are always available.

Su***de prevention starts with connection. A simple question like “Are you okay?” can open the door to a conversation that matters.

This month, we encourage everyone to:

• Check in with friends, family, and coworkers

• Listen without judgment

• Learn the warning signs

• Share resources and support

Every person has a role in creating a community where people feel seen, heard, and supported.

☕️ Sara’s Monday Morning Coffee 🎡🚓

Sara here… and apparently, the Sheriff and I have decided to hang out at the 185th Fonda Fair! 😂 Don’t worry—we’re getting along… so far!

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Health Department are teaming up to highlight some of the important programs and services available right here in our community. We may have different jobs, but we both agree on one thing: keeping Montgomery County safe takes all of us!

While you're enjoying the rides, food, animals, and all the fair fun, remember to be respectful, stay safe, and look out for your fellow fairgoers. And make sure you stop by the booths! You might learn something new, meet the people who serve our county, and maybe even catch Sara and the Sheriff behaving themselves. 😉🎠

La Ciudad de Amsterdam ha sido identificada por el Estado de Nueva York como una Comunidad de Preocupación debido a la gran cantidad de viviendas antiguas y a una mayor prevalencia de niños con niveles elevados de plomo en la sangre.
Esto no significa que todas las viviendas tengan peligros relacionados con el plomo, pero sí significa que tenemos una importante oportunidad para prevenir futuras exposiciones al plomo.
Si usted es dueño de una propiedad residencial de alquiler construida antes de 1980 con 2 o más unidades en la Ciudad de Amsterdam, usted cumple un papel importante en la protección de las familias. 🚗 As National Traffic Awareness Month continues, let's keep our families safe as school zones get busy again! 🍎

Here are some tips for navigating school zones:

* **Slow Down!** Speed limits are significantly reduced in school zones. Always obey posted signs. 🚦
* **Be Alert!** Put away distractions like your phone. Watch for children walking, biking, or waiting for school buses. 🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️
* **Stop for Buses!** When a school bus stops and flashes its red lights, you MUST stop, no matter which direction you are traveling. 🚌
* **Watch for Crossing Guards!** Always obey their signals. They are there to protect our children. ✋
* **Plan Ahead!** Allow extra time for your commute to avoid rushing. ⏰

🩸 Una prueba sencilla puede marcar una gran diferencia.
¿Sabías que los niños con envenenamiento por plomo con frecuencia no presentan síntomas?
Por eso es tan importante realizar las pruebas de plomo de rutina.
El Departamento de Salud del Condado de Montgomery recomienda que todos los niños se realicen la prueba de plomo a la edad de:
✔️ 1 año
✔️ 2 años
Detectarlo a tiempo permite brindar la atención y el apoyo necesarios para que los niños crezcan sanos.
