We are honored and deeply grateful to announce an extraordinary gift from the Francisco Family Fund of the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region. This gift was made in loving memory of their parents, Robert G. and Barbara L. Francisco, whose lives were touched by the compassionate services provided by our senior services organization.
Their generous contribution is more than a financial gift as it is a lasting tribute to their parents’ legacy and a powerful investment in the future of our community. By choosing to support our mission, the Francisco Family is helping ensure that essential services such as Rao Family Meals of Montgomery, in-home care, and other programs remain available for seniors who depend on them every day.
Reflecting on the family’s decision, Robert G. Francisco, Jr. shared:
“My mother, Barbara, utilized OFA services on several occasions for Meals on Wheels and in-home care, which was a tremendous help, not only for her, but also for me as her caregiver. We are grateful for the services you provided and believe your organization is well deserving of our donation.”
Stories like Barbara’s remind us that our services do far more than meet basic needs. They provide dignity, independence, peace of mind, and support for families navigating the challenges of caregiving.
We are overjoyed that this remarkable act of generosity will help sustain our current services, ensuring that other seniors and their caregivers can receive the same compassionate care that meant so much to the Francisco family.
We hope this inspiring gift serves as a reminder that every contribution not matter how large or small can make a meaningful difference. Together, we can continue to provide essential services, strengthen our community, and honor the legacy of those who believed in caring for others.
To the Francisco Family, thank you for your compassion, your generosity, and your commitment to helping ensure that no senior in our community goes without the support they need. Your family’s legacy will continue to make a difference for years to come.
