Thank you to The Scoop of Gloversville & Beyond for this incredibly thoughtful recognition of our Lake Valley EMS team. 💙
We are grateful to serve this community each and every day, and words like these mean more to our crews than you know. Thank you for taking the time to recognize the EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers and team members who work around the clock to be there when our community needs us most. 🚑
❤️❤️Every week, I’m going to try to do an appreciation post for a first responder. This week is mine. Please feel free to send me a first responder or crew that made a difference or you will never forget.❤️❤️
APPRECIATING LAKE VALLEY EMS 💙🚑
We hear them on the scanner all day and all night. One call ends, and before long, another one comes across.
But what we hear on the scanner is only a small part of what Lake Valley EMS does.
Behind every ambulance is a crew that never seems to stop moving. They respond to people who are sick, injured, scared, or having one of the worst days of their lives. They walk into situations not knowing exactly what they will face, provide care, comfort families, transport patients, clean and restock their ambulance, complete their reports—and get ready to do it all over again.
Sometimes, there may barely be time to catch their breath before the next call comes in.We hear the dispatch. We hear the ambulance responding. We hear them heading to the hospital.
What we don’t always see is everything that happens in between.
The long hours. The missed meals. The late nights. The difficult calls they carry with them. The compassion they show to complete strangers. And then, after all of that, getting back into that ambulance when the next person needs help.
🚑 Lake Valley EMS truly is the ambulance and crew that never stops moving.
From all of us at The Scoop Of Gloversville & Beyond, thank you to the EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and everyone behind the scenes at Lake Valley EMS.
💙 Your community hears you out there. We see how hard you’re working. And most importantly—we appreciate you. 💙
❤️💙And for me personally, I appreciate you guys and thank you so much. On a day I thought would have been one of the worst days of my life, your calm nature and fast action I will never forget. Seeing you come in brought relief, and as the crew worked so fast, you still took a minute to tell me what hospital and reassured me my family member was stable. It’s not just a job, you can tell in your eyes
