The Anacortes Family Center is proud to have completed The Landing - 21 apartments for our town’s low-income, hard working friends and neighbors in need AND a licensed early learning center for up to 40 children on the ground floor.

Last year the Anacortes Housing Authority opened Birch Tree Village.

This completes two of the three projects that the Yes4Housing Campaign promised to the Anacortes voters. We are grateful for your support!

APRIL IS HERE TOMORROW! So many reasons to be glad...including...it's Shred-A-Thon month! This year's date is Saturday, April 16th, again in the Walgreen's parking lot from 9:00 - 1:00. Bring those documents you want to dispose of safely. We're suggesting a donation of $20 per box. See you soon!

Two years ago Anacortes voters led our County and approved a 1/10th of 1% sales tax to allow people that grew up & work here to live in our vibrant community. Now, check out your tax dollars hard at work. Anacortes Family Center (built by Quantum Construction, Inc.) is creating a 21-apartment affordable housing project with a ground floor early learning center! Drive by 26th Street and take a look. Change of plans - We are going to keep this page up indefinitely. Several followers are asking for updates on construction and AFC and AHA are excited about the opportunity to stay connected with all who are interested.

The Anacortes Family Center provides emergency shelter and transitional housing for women and families with children. The assessment form allows AFC to create a potential client file for the possibility of service.

Signs can be thrown out and the metal stakes can be dropped off at AFC. Grab as many signs as you can when it isn't raining😜

We did it! Affordable housing for Anacortes passed by over 55%! Thank you to all who took the time to learn about this measure and voted YES to making Anacortes a stronger community.
We have so much to be proud of about our town. One of which is that over 50% of registered voters voted in a special election. Congratulations!👏
Now, let's grab a buddy and drive around town tomorrow to pick up every sign that we can find🤗 🛵

YARD SIGNS
Thank You to all the volunteers who put them in their yards and handed out to others. Now we need to remove them as quickly as possible.
The metal stakes are reusable and can be left at the Anacortes Family Center. The signs themselves are not reusable.

Thank you one and all for a superb campaign!

Results are looking good with about 5000 ballots counted and about 700 to go; we have 55.58% of the vote! The paper is declaring a win; official results from the county should be in by Friday!

Election Day! Let's paint the town yellow today to remind our community to turn in their ballots;
Post your support on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
Put your sign in your car window while parked
Wave signs (with your doggy) at 2:30 or 4:30
Ballots can be dropped off at Skyline or the library up until 8 PM!

This isn't for homeless shelters. This is for Anacortes families with income and background checks. Good, hardworking citizens that we want to live and work in Anacortes so that we can be a stronger community.
