It was set up to just keep the locals informed of potential sightings. It has since exploded into a Pacific Northwest hub for Aurora hunters. sed to get to know your area and look for the dark skies with north facing views of the horizon, preferably with minimal to no light pollution between YOU and the horizon.

Yes! Potential for tonight. Minimal at best. The source of this event is from the same Coronal Hole that gave a very small show last rotation a month ago. And has lost some energy. The news outlets are really blowing this out of proportion.
