✨🗣 What an incredible evening at the kirikirʔi:s taca:kʔakwastak “We’re Talking Wichita” Showcase on May 27, 2026! ✨🗣

Held from 7:00 PM–8:30 PM at the Wichita Community Building, the evening was a tremendous success with over 90 attendees coming together to celebrate Wichita language and culture.

We are beyond proud of the amazing students of W-STAR Academy and WCDC who shared their hard work, dedication, and passion through the 2026 Oklahoma Native American Youth Language Fair performances. Guests also enjoyed a beautiful Wichita tribal dance demonstration and special student recognitions throughout the night. 🕺💃

The showcase was filled with laughter, storytelling, learning, and meaningful community connection. It is truly inspiring to see so many people gathered together in support of language revitalization and cultural preservation.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, performed, volunteered, and helped make this event so memorable. Your encouragement and presence continues to strengthen our community and ensure the Wichita language lives on for future generations.

Together, we continue to keep the Wichita language alive. 🫶❤️
