UPDATE 7/22/26 12:47 pm- highway 8 is back open at this time.

7/22/26 10:55am - Highway 8 south of Anadarko is shut down between CR 1410 and CR 1420 for a vehicle accident blocking roadway. Traffic will need to detour before or at listed crossroads at this time.

Thank you to Verden Fire Department for some helping hands with a landing zone today along with Survival Flight SF8 for meeting up for patient care in a agricultural equipment accident today.

EXTENDED BURN BAN:
Caddo county has extended the county burn ban by 1 week. The exception for Prescribed burns is not included in this weeks extension. Outdoor cutting/welding is allowed with special restrictions and outdoor cooking is allowed in a gas or charcoal enclosed grilling receptacle on a non-flammable surface 5 foot from vegetation.

The control burn was initiated at 11am and has concluded.

Crews will be conducting a control burn on the northeast side of town by western farmers this morning if you notice tsmoke in the area.

Crews are currently working a fire on the Southwest side of the airport. Progression is stopped at this time while crews continue to shore up control lines. We can’t thank our BIA partners enough for the helping hand.
