On Friday, June 19, we hosted Fishing with Dads at Randlett Park in Anadarko. We’ve talked with our elders and youth on ways to draw others in that maybe don’t participate in our cultural events and ceremonies and this was an idea that was thought of. It was also a different way for us to engage with the community.

We appreciate all the families that came out and participated. You’re the reason we do what we do and we thank you for supporting the program. Be sure to be on the lookout for more future events and activities that we’ll be hosting. Àhô

We finished up our Gourd Stick Making Class on Thursday night and the kids left with their own gourd. We hope to see them in the arena using it in the near future. We appreciate everyone that came and attended. Àhô to Tim Yeahquo for facilitating the class for us and to all that pitched in their time to help. Here are some events that will be taking place this week here in the Anadarko area. The Men's Sweat and Fishing with Dads is open to all but the Gourd Stick Making Class will be limited to the first 15 youth that sign up. The QR Code to sign up is on the original flyer. We hope to see you there.
