🎓 Congratulations to the Kennedy High School Class of 2026!

Today, we celebrate the graduates of Kennedy High School and recognize the hard work, resilience, and achievements that brought them to this important milestone.

Although this year’s graduation ceremony faced an unexpected postponement, the strength, patience, and unity shown by the Kennedy community reflected the true spirit of the Fighting Irish. Through the support of families, staff, community leaders, and the greater AUHSD community, this graduating class was still able to receive the meaningful celebration they so greatly deserved.

The Fighting Irish have demonstrated leadership, perseverance, and school pride through academics, athletics, arts, activities, and community involvement. As they begin the next chapter of their journey, this graduating class leaves behind a legacy of determination, courage, and resilience.

Congratulations, Kennedy Fighting Irish! Your AUHSD family is proud to celebrate you today and always. 💚💛

During , we celebrate the accomplishments of Asian-, Pacific Islander-, and Desi-Americans throughout U.S. history.
Today, we celebrate Anri, a Japanese pop singer. Genesis, a 10th-grade AUHSD student from Magnolia HS, shared: “Anri is known for her city pop music, especially songs like ‘Remember Summer Days.’ I like her music because it has a calm and relaxing vibe, but still sounds unique. She inspires me because her songs are still so popular today, even though they were made a long time ago. It shows how music can stay meaningful over time.”

Today, we celebrate Patsy Mink, an American attorney and politician. Maria, an 11th-grade AUHSD student from Magnolia HS, shared: “She served in the House of Representatives as the first woman of color as well as the first Asian-American to serve in Congress. She was a milestone setter, and she dreamed big. No dream was too small for her or out of reach; she believed in herself and made it happen. She had a dream, and she never gave up on it. She fought for equality and was deeply against gender-based discrimination all her life!"

Following the unexpected cancellation due to the hazardous materials incident in Garden Grove and guidance from emergency officials, our District immediately began working to identify a safe and meaningful alternative that would allow our Kennedy graduates and families to celebrate this important milestone together.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the City of Anaheim for their partnership, responsiveness, and support in helping make this possible on such short notice. In particular, we want to thank Anaheim City Council Member and Mayor Pro Tem Carlos Leon for his immediate assistance and commitment to supporting our students and families during this challenging situation. We also extend our appreciation to AUHSD Board of Trustees President Jessica Guerrero for her leadership and advocacy in helping coordinate these efforts on behalf of the Kennedy community.

This collaborative effort reflects the strength of our AUHSD community schools and the shared commitment to ensuring our students receive the celebration they deserve.

Additional details regarding parking, guest entry, arrival times, and ceremony logistics will be shared soon by Kennedy High School.

Thank you again for your patience, understanding, and continued support. We look forward to celebrating the incredible Kennedy High School Class of 2026 together on Tuesday evening.
