NATIONAL CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS WEEK

The first full week of May is recognized as National Correctional Officers Week, a time to acknowledge the men and women who work behind the scenes in our jail facilities.

Correctional officers play a critical role in maintaining safety and order while managing the daily operations of the jail. It is a demanding job that requires patience, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Sheriff Brian Hawthorne shared, “One of the most challenging daily tasks we face as a Sheriff’s Office is managing the day-to-day operations of a jail. I would like to say thank you to a group that is all too often forgotten in law enforcement, our corrections officers.”

We appreciate the hard work and dedication of our correctional officers and thank them for what they do every day to help keep our community safe.

I am incredibly proud of the dedication and work ethic of these students. This group all have BRIGHT futures! Thank you to our BHHS school sponsor Charlotte Buntin and Assistant County Attorney Coach Ramille Law. Thank you BH Superintendent Dr. Greg Poole and curricular administration team for assisting us in implementing this program. These students have voluntarily dedicated their time after-school and totally dominated yesterday. I could not be more proud. We Can, We Will. 💙

Raising and showing animals is no easy task- particularly as a young person. I’m incredibly impressed with the dedication and hard work these students put into their projects. I will always cherish our memories with our sweet goat, Piñata. 🐐 Best of luck to all the students showing!

5 years ago today, I was sworn in as your Chambers County Attorney. On that morning, Philippians 2:3 was The Winning Walk’s verse of the day. That was no accident; that was God’s instruction for my new position. As my office seeks justice daily, I always keep this command at the center of my decisions. I thank you all so much for your support over the past 5 years, and I hope to continue to serve you all for many more to come. I am endlessly grateful to my team who works to support this vision and keep our community safe.
