๐ŸŒŸ Whatโ€™s Up at YPS? | Four Week Post-Show Update ๐ŸŒŸ

We wanted to give everyone an update on where things stand following the 2026 Chambers County Youth Project Show!

At our last update, the Auditorโ€™s Office had made it about HALFWAY through reviewing add-on donations. We appreciate everyoneโ€™s patience as they continue working through everything carefully and accurately. We currently anticipate this process taking approximately one more week to complete.

While that process is underway, we are continuing to prepare for issuing buyer invoices and exhibitor checks as soon as we receive final approval to move forward. This includes verifying exhibitor information and ensuring all records are complete and accurate.

๐Ÿšจ IMPORTANT ๐Ÿšจ
If your child was a 2026 CCYPS exhibitor and you HAVE NOT been receiving emails from us regarding the 2026 show, that means we DO NOT have your correct email address on file.

Please email:
๐Ÿ“ง [email protected]

๐Ÿ“ฌ Current Timeline Estimates:
โ€ข Thank You Note Lists โ€” Mid-June
โ€ข Exhibitor Checks Ready for Pickup โ€” Mid-July

Once the audit is complete, each exhibitor will receive a Thank You Note List by email. This list will include the names and mailing addresses of all buyers and supporters who purchased and/or added on to your childโ€™s project.

โœ‰๏ธ AFTER you receive your list:
1๏ธโƒฃ Have your child write their thank you notes
2๏ธโƒฃ Place each note in a stamped envelope
3๏ธโƒฃ Address the envelope to the buyer/supporter and include a return address
4๏ธโƒฃ Bring the completed thank you notes to the CCYPS Office

๐Ÿ’ต Checks will ONLY be released after thank you notes are turned in.

๐Ÿšซ PLEASE NOTE:
โ€ข We will notify exhibitors when checks are ready for pickup
โ€ข Please do not call or come by asking if checks are ready before that notification is sent
โ€ข Checks must be picked up in person
โ€ข WE WILL NOT MAIL CHECKS

๐ŸŒฑ Locally Grown: YPS Stories โ€” Part One ๐ŸŒฑ

Meet Lou Ann Lamb of Anahuac, Texas โค๏ธ

At 67 years old, Lou Ann has been part of the Chambers County Youth Project Show for an incredible 50 years โ€” as a parent, volunteer, former committee member, alumni, and supporter.

When asked what YPS has taught her, her answer was simple:
โœจ Patience โœจ

One of her favorite YPS memories happened when her son Clayton was just 5 years old. Clayton didnโ€™t ride horses, but he loved brushing them and being around them. Lou Ann knew their retired show mare, Angel, would be the perfect horse for him to show in the YPS Horse Show halter class.

As Clayton and Angel entered the arena, Angel stood perfectly still and attentive, setting up exactly as she had been trained. Clayton, full of energy as any 5-year-old would be, struggled to stand still during judging. But every time he started to fidget, Angel would gently rest her lips on top of his head โ€” and Clayton would instantly freeze.

โ€œShe did this throughout the judging of the class,โ€ Lou Ann shared. โ€œI will always remember Angel standing at attention and helping Clayton get through his first show.โ€

Stories like this are what make YPS so special โ€” the lessons, the memories, and the moments that stay with families for generations. ๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿด๐Ÿ’› What a fun day at the 2026 CCYPS Kindergarten Rodeo! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿด

Thanks to our sponsor, Wells Land Survey, Anahuac Elementary kindergarten students got to spend the day enjoying all kinds of western-themed fun during this yearโ€™s Chambers County Youth Project Show!

From stick horse races and horseshoes to visiting livestock animals and exploring Exhibit Hall entries, the kids had an absolute blast. We even wrapped up the day with Chick-fil-A lunches and prizes from the sensory bins โ€” thank you again to 1900 Feed for donating the rice! ๐ŸŒพ

A huge thank you to Anahuac Independent School District for partnering with us to help make this event possible for our local students each year.
