Today was a big step in our renovation for the golf course!! Greenscapes6 installed the new wet well! Pretty cool process, that was done effortlessly! Changes are coming along great and good news, our New Superintendent just started Wednesday!

Jerry Thompson comes highly recommended and has a great vision for the course!! Please welcome him when you see him around!!

Good morning friends,

It has been a busy couple of months here in Chambers County Parks and Recreation Dept AND at Chambers County GC. A few of the projects we have going on:

1. Turfing the infields at Don McCleod Sports Complex is completed and we are weeks from opening.
2. 4 lane batting cage at Don McCleod Sports Complex, construction has started.
3. New Beach City Park is moving along very well.
4. 6 new Pickleball courts in Winnie are two weeks from completion.
5. The new pig barn starts Monday at Whites Park, demo starts Monday.
6. New sound system for Whites Parks Arena is on court for next week.
7. Batting cages for Jim Silva and Yale Devillier should start by first of year.
8. New playground at Yale Devillier.
Oh….and the renovation of the front nine at the golf course is well underway!!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION!! 🚜👷‍♂️👷‍♀️🚧🦺

Don McCleod Sports Complex will start the turfing project tomorrow, Tuesday August 5th.

The fields will be CLOSED!! We will have signs for reminder. Sorry for the inconvenience and we will keep you up to date on progress!

No we do not have a completion date! If your team needs a place to practice for the next 2-3 months…please send an email to [email protected]
