📢 Partnering for School Safety: Bullying, Harassment & Threat Reporting Options 📢

At Anamosa CSD, the safety, well-being, and peace of mind of our students, staff, and families are our top priorities. Keeping our schools safe is a community effort, and we want to ensure that every student, parent, and community member knows how to report unsafe situations quickly and confidentially.

We want to highlight two important reporting options accessible directly on our Anamosa District Homepage:

🛡️ 1. Safe & Sound Iowa (24/7 Anonymous Reporting)
We are proud to partner with Safe & Sound Iowa—a free, statewide anonymous reporting tool that empowers students, parents, teachers, and community members to speak up.

Who can use it? Anyone in our community (parents, students, neighbors, staff).

What can be reported? Any situation that is unsafe, concerning, or requires immediate attention, including:
• Bullying, harassment, or cyberbullying

• Threats of violence or weapons

• Students in crisis or expressing thoughts of self-harm

• Substance abuse or illegal activities

• Suspicious behaviors around school property

How does it work? Trained specialists receive reports 24/7 and immediately send confidential alerts to local school administrators and/or law enforcement so action can be taken right away.

In addition to Safe & Sound Iowa, our homepage features direct links to our internal Bullying & Harassment Reporting Forms.

These forms allow parents and students to report specific incidents or harassment directly to school administrators so our team can investigate, intervene, and provide support.

Strawberry Hill students and adults have had a great first week back to school! Students are learning expectations and routines and having a little fun while doing it. It’s going to be a great year!

Fifth Grade started the week off great with getting to know each other, learning about maps, and working with partners on our reading!

Strawberry Hill students were excited to see our football players this morning as they arrived to school. Good luck to our football team tonight as they take on Maquoketa at home. We hope to see you there!!

📢 IMPORTANT SCHEDULE UPDATE FOR 2026–2027 📢

Attention ACSD Families! Just a quick reminder that early dismissals have moved to Fridays this school year (previously on Wednesdays).

Our very first early dismissal is tomorrow, Friday, August 28! Please adjust your schedules and pickup plans accordingly.

⏰ Friday Early Dismissal Times:

Strawberry Hill: 1:15 p.m.

Anamosa High School: 1:20 p.m.

Anamosa Middle School: 1:25 p.m.
