Jones County Community Partnerships for Protecting Children

Jones County Community Partnerships for Protecting Children Keeping Kids Safe is Everyone's Business! You can be part of that by learning what is going on for families right here.

Partnerships work to prevent child abuse, neglect, and re-abuse, safely decrease the number of out-of-home
placements, and promote timely reunification when children are placed in foster care. Community members, professionals, and families work together to develop and implement local programs, services, supports, and policies that positively impact families and protect children from abuse.

Join us at Central Park this Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 9, from 8–10 PM for a behind-the-scenes look at live bat research in action.🦇

Visitors will have the opportunity to observe researchers as they safely catch, study, tag, and release bats found within the park. Learn how scientists collect data to better understand local bat populations and their role in the ecosystem.

This is a rare chance to see real wildlife research up close during the park’s busiest bat activity hours.
