| Fitness Friday: The Warrior Athlete: SGT Sili Masina |

Happy Friday Alaska!

Today we're proud to highlight our Anchorage area recruiter SGT Sili Masina, Team Endeavor.

Masina has been a Rugby player for 5 years and most recently, represented the Alaska Army Guard on an all star rugby team made up of servicemembers from the Army, Air Force and Space Force.

The "Flying Tigers" took on the naval services' team "Old Salts" (U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, Marines) in May of this year at the Starfire Stadium in Washington. After a dominating victory, winning 55-17, the Flying Tigers were presented with the winner’s trophy by Col. Leroy Barker, 1st Special Forces Group deputy commander.

"The relationships and camaraderie you build with other Soldiers is one of the most rewarding parts of the game, Masina said. "And I'm proud to represent Alaska and my family in the Army Guard."

Every member of aviation, from pilots to crew chiefs to mechanics, is vital to accomplishing a mission. Every helicopter has its own team of mechanics to ensure it’s always running efficiently.

REUNITED! The boys are back in town working at our BN! SFC Ventura is gonna be working on making sure we are all swaggered out and getting the message of the Guard to Alaskans while in Marketing. SFC Schlegel is going to be working within Operations assisting our Recruiters with their mission of recruiting highly motivated and qualified individuals to serve in the Alaska Army National Guard.
